As from the 12th March 2025, Mater Dei Hospital (MDH) will be sending a one-time SMS notification to each mobile number registered in the Hospital System (CPAS). This is part of our commitment to enhancing security and transparency in managing your personal information.
This one-time SMS is to inform you that your mobile number is registered to receive notifications related to your appointments and personal details at Mater Dei Hospital. This measure ensures that your contact information is accurate and up-to-date, thus helping you to stay informed about your healthcare.
The SMS from MDH will read:
“SMS notifications for Mater Dei appointments for John Doe ID ending 99M will be sent to this number. If you are not the correct recipient or have queries, please contact us on 📧 [email protected] or visit🌐 https://healthinformatics.gov.mt/en/sms-notifications/“
- This SMS notification will be sent once to all mobile numbers recorded in the Hospital System.
- It will be sent in batches, according to patients’ recorded date of birth.
- If the details are correct, no further action is required.
- If you are not the intended recipient or if the information is incorrect, please contact us immediately on 📧 [email protected] or visit🌐https://healthinformatics.gov.mt/en/sms-notifications/

Effective from 1st March 2025, Mater Dei Hospital (MDH) will be sending SMS notifications whenever a change is made to a patient’s personal details within the Hospital System (CPAS). This includes updates to:
- Mobile Number
- Name
- Address
- SMS Notification Settings (activated or deactivated)
To enhance security and transparency, MDH will notify you whenever any of the above personal details are changed. This helps ensure the accuracy of your information and safeguards against unauthorized changes.
You will receive an SMS on your registered mobile number whenever:
1.Your Mobile Number is Updated:
“Dear John Doe, this is to inform you that this contact number has been updated for ID ending 99M in our hospital IT systems. If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us on 📧 [email protected] or visit🌐https://healthinformatics.gov.mt/en/sms-notifications/ ”
2.Your SMS Notification Settings are Changed:
- Set to ON:
- “Dear John Doe, this is to inform you that your contact number has been set to receive medical notifications from our hospital IT systems for ID ending 99M. If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us on 📧 [email protected] or visit🌐 https://healthinformatics.gov.mt/en/sms-notifications/”
- Set to OFF:
- “Dear John Doe, this is to inform you that your contact number has been set to no longer receive medical notifications for ID ending 99M. If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us on 📧 [email protected] or visit🌐https://healthinformatics.gov.mt/en/sms-notifications/”
3.Your Name is Changed:
“This is a notification for John Doe that name/surname has been updated for individual ID ending 99M. If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us on 📧 [email protected] or visit🌐https://healthinformatics.gov.mt/en/sms-notifications/”
4.Your Address is Changed:
“This is a notification for John Doe that personal address has been updated to 1 Triq id-Donaturi tad-Demm, Msida for individual ID ending 99M. If you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us on 📧 [email protected] or visit🌐https://healthinformatics.gov.mt/en/sms-notifications/”
- If the change is accurate, no further action is needed.
- If you did not authorize the change or believe it is incorrect, please contact us immediately: 📧 [email protected] or visit🌐https://healthinformatics.gov.mt/en/sms-notifications/
